For sale, WP Trax shock for 2017 Alta MX. Includes heavier springs, and stock spring. Very little time on this shock. You will have to grind part of the frame in order for this shock to fit. Includes XTrig preload adjuster.

I was told that it will not work on a 2018 Alta MXR, but I don't know for sure. This shock will also work on a 2014 KTM, but I thought I would list it here first.

$700 shipped.

You could probably install it on the MXR with the MX linkage, but I wouldn't do it.

Maybe @Mark911 could pitch in, in case he is using the same shock. He is using a KTM linkage on his MX.

I believe It'll work on a 18 if you use a slightly shorter link but don't quote me. I use a 15/earlier KTM TRAX shock and link on my 17 (it's a bit shorter). Yes, the TRAX shock requires a bit of grinding in the area around the upper eyebolt. No big deal, a big file will work fine, just go slow and do lots of fit checks. After I was done my TRAX only had about 15 mils of static clearance and it's yet to rub. The 15/earlier KTM TRAX shocks have more shaft travel than the original 17 WP Alta shock so I compensated with a spacer/bumper.

The complete KTM linkage (rocker/link) will fit right onto the Alta. My experience is with the 2012-15 linkage (I think). It offers a bit more holdup at race sag and isn't as aggressive in the latter part of travel.

BTW- It's pretty easy to shorten a shock eye-to-eye. Any tuner would probably do it for free during a re-valve.
