    Varg charging from generator.

I am going to try the 240v inverter route. Got 5kWh worth of battery running at 48v. Tested it by charging the electric car and got about 4kWhs out of it. I figure, full Varg battery plus this will be enough for my ride time on a motocross track. I will have to dial the Varg back a little bit on...

    Varg charging from generator.

So, you are saying that you could use a generator with a TT-30 (120v 30amp) output and run it through a single-phase step-up transformer to 220v and the charger that comes with the Varg would accept that? That would be great if that would work because it's easy to find generators with the TT-30...

    Varg charging from generator.

Interesting concept. Would it have to be a split-phase step-up inverter, if there is such a thing? Also, the 110v outlet must be capable of supplying the entire 20amps.

    Post your Miles/Hours

I would rebuild my bikes at about 75 hours. That would be a full top end - pistion, rings, valves and cam chain. I would have a local shop who is also a riding buddy do it at a cost of about $800.00 all in. Over 400 hours would come in at a cost of about $4200.00. Not to mention the time and...

I would go with Honda because of the symmetry of the exhaust. The number plates seem to be a mirror image of each other.

    Alta Plastic Kit

I was thinking about that too. I was looking into using Honda parts because the dual exhaust bikes will have more symmetrical number plates than the one sided exhaust models.

    Rubber Mounted Handlebar Mounts

Try these handlebars. I have been using them for a few years and they take the edge off the hard impacts. Twisted Engineering The flex is not limited to one direction. Really helps when the bike wants to rip the bars from your hands :)

    Knee braces - which one?

I am using the Mobius x8 braces and I like them very much. I used the Asterisk braces for about five years and they were wearing out. I squeeze the bike lots and with the Asterisk braces I would always punch through the leather on the sides of the pants in very short order. This does not happen...

    BAD NEWS

I heard that from people too...that they were to expensive. But I would counter with the fact that there is no cost to keep it running other than electricity. How much is spent to keep an ICE bike running? Pistons, valves, crank shafts, timing chains, clutch plates, air filters, oil, oil...
