I have a few projects brewing and this is part of a couple of them.

I'm using these prismatic cells and I need to divide and combine the packs to suit different bike layouts.

Does it look like the thick busbars are laser welded or some other process? Are the tiny bms wires fuse bonded like the Alta process?

Those look like laser welded busbars. Very similar to a couple companies in the midwest who do this kind of work.

The tiny wires look like they were dolloped with hot glue. This cant be the actual electrical connection, rather its a reinforcement effort?

Just thinking out loud if there was an additional way to make the ALta battery wirebonds more secure in light of what i understand about code 36 failures

Based on what I see in the picture those tiny wires could be for current sensing/balancing. (The silkscreen on the PCBA does say CELL #) so it could possibly be for that.
