Completed Donner Harescramble on Light Bee

Nice! What battery were you running? I'm getting around 25 miles with the EBMX 72v 42ah.

    General Varg Beater

It's not something I have ever noticed or thought much about. I do notice that it is easier to "fly" the electric Honda after jumps vs the KTM 200 XCW but that might have more to do with the PDS rear suspension vs the Honda's linkage. Probably the gyroscopic effect would be more significant on 450s.

    General Varg Beater

Here are some reasons why my times are faster on the electric bike: 1. Instant Torque over a wide RPM range without the need to plan i.e. be in the right gear, rev the motor, pop the clutch. 2. Linear power delivery. 3. Left hand rear brake is easy to modulate, doesn't lock up and cause loss of...

    General Varg Beater

I am absolutely loving my CRF250R conversion. It has the QS138 v3 motor and 20s10p Molicel p42a 21700 (3.1 KWH) and a BAC8000 controller running at 800 Phase amps. It weighs 232 lbs (including Fasst Flexx bars, double thick skid plate and aluminum hand guards) and does about 18 miles of single...

    Sur Ron Ultra Bee

As an owner of a highly modified Light Bee, an electric converted CRF250R and a 300EC TPI GASGAS, I'm looking forward to to Ultra Bee. The electric CRF250R is my favorite bike, but at 235 lbs it is heavier than I would like. The Light Bee has too short of a wheel base to put the power down...

I'm building a bike to race the series as I couldn't get an alta at a fair price. Details of build

I wonder the same thing. I tried to address those issues with my battery build for the Sur-Ron and will carry this knowledge on to the build for my CRF250R conversion. See my build here with battery details. 2017 Honda CR250R to Electric - Endless Sphere

    Electric RMZ

Did the motor come with a Hall sensor mating connector? If not, do you have a source the connector or did you just remove it?

    Throttle Connector Pinout

Thank you. Just a quick note for anyone looking at this in the future: For some reason when you copy and paste from that PDF it gives you the wrong part number. (a 4 pin) The 8 pin connector housing is 08R-JWPF-VSLE-D to mate with the throttle.

    Throttle Connector Pinout

Right! it didn't jump out at me when I did a search. I might have to just lop it off.

    Throttle Connector Pinout

Does anyone know what type of connector the throttle uses? I need to source the bike side connector.

    Electric RMZ

We bought the BAC8000 evaluation kit, so I have access. Programming has a steep learning curve and can be catastrophic if done wrong. I'm pulling 8000 watts from my stock Sur-Ron battery. The performance is amazing. My intent was to sell programed controllers, which I might still. But it has to...

    Electric RMZ

Are there any updates? I am considering using the same motor and controller. I have some experience with the BAC8000. I wired up and programmed one for my Sur-Ron. It took many hours but it's working beautifully now. Also I would love to see more pictures of the reduction shaft design.

    Throttle Connector Pinout

Thanks. I'm thinking the negative position might be helpful to activate engine braking.

    Throttle Connector Pinout

Thank you for the help. I plan to use the throttle on a another bike. I got to spend some time on my friend's Alta and really like the throttle.

    Throttle Connector Pinout

I'm looking for the pinout of the throttle connector. It looks like an 8-pin connector with 6 locations populated. Just knowing the power and ground pins would be a big help.
