    Only $50K, tempted...

SV advertised on FBMP for fifty thousand clams. Used pictures of DD88's bike, i believe. He's free to ask whatever the market will bear but the photo misappropriation is troubling. Is the seller a member of this forum...

    Hard Enduro test

What were your expectations? What is a typical ride for you? Have you ridden much electric mileage? If a typical ride for you is more like 20 mph average, you might get 40 miles. The ride shown in the video is a 9 mph ride and the bike can go 3 hours. Listen to the rider's breathing. 3...

    Hard Enduro test

It's early days for the varg but that map sounds horrible. Breaking traction everywhere, even on a rock face. Way too much power and twitch for that terrain/rider/tire/suspension milieu. So good to see the bike out there and look forward to people tweaking the maps and sharing what works...

    Stark Varg on the Dyno

I was thinking the yz trace was done in top gear. Theoretically the yz should be able to make 50 hp in any gear and therefore make more power than a SV at speeds falling within whatever window is encompassed by a yz in first gear. ie 30 mph: Stark is limited to about 35 hp no matter what...

    Stark Varg on the Dyno

Dumb question. The yz will be putting down more power if it's ridden "on the pipe" than a standard 60 hp SV at motocross speeds?

Great points. "how much does it weigh"? is usually the third question from anyone mildly curious about electric feasibility. Usually it is strike three and the whole concept is more easily dismissed in favor of the tried and true. The weight claim was a big part of the marketing. Remember...

Interesting. Do the 45 cells weigh 18 pounds more than the 42 cells? Do they cost $1000 more? Just trying to figure out when they switched and how it affected the rollout etc. Also, can trailriders just ditch the cooling system and claw back some lightness?

I think most of my trailbikes have been in the 250-260# range. 265# Alta does not feel like a pig. Did not feel any difference riding back to back on a sherco 300 2T in flowy trails. I assume that bike was 15-20# lighter. Older KTM 450, husaberg 570 probably not as nimble as heavy Alta...

Don't let the dream die. The stark will be a great singletrack bike. You can adapt to the range limitation if you truly love winding terrain. It's going to perform better than whatever you're riding now in 95% of situations. it's not going to get 50 miles with your buddies, though. If...

6.5 kW/h? The battery gains strength over time? :) I'm tempted to just buy a battery for some reason. It would be fair to put a gag order on people getting their bikes before you so customer #1 gets the first chance to announce the first arrival.

    General checking out used bike

As far as the battery graphs, i think you check them charged up and also discharged to see if there is a weak p group which might be higher than its cohorts when charged and lower than its buddies when discharged

I have a LBX from europe with 17 digit vin. The first 3 characters are different from yours . Don't those identify the OEM? Jury is still out on Ultra Bee VIN usefulness in my book until I see an actual photo from someone who has them in hand

    General Varg Beater

I guess everybody gets queasy when math is bandied about. I did the same calculations except giving a gas motor 15% efficiency. I ended up with the Stark needing 9kWh to meet the claim "range equal to a 450 sx bike" When you ride your gas bike at the same ferocity, does it go about 45 minutes...

    EXR Charging CAN log

Good to see some reverse engineering. Can you describe your hardware setup? I would like to look at CAN messaging but hoped I could use the ALta dongle without having to get a GVRET. What OS do you run the savvycan on?

SV software license, potential subscriptions, smart bike ramifications etc

If one reads the fine print, when you buy a Stark, you purchase a motorcycle and a software license. It's stated that the license isn't transferable. What happens when you try to sell your SV to someone else? The 60 vs 80hp option is already on the table as far as buying different software...
