Just gonna be posting here throughout the day today to let you all know how it's going.

First practice went well. I was 9th. Track is pretty tough. They kept the first whoop section and the triple after it. I feel good in the whoops though.

Heat 1 coming up in about an hour or so.

There was only 1 heat for our class so we all go to the main. My lap times were in the top 10 so as long as I get a good start I should be able to bring a top 10 home.

Welp that's a wrap!

Unfortunately my GoPro died right before the main event. But my GF recorded the whole main from the stands.

Had a 16th gate pick for the main. I decided to choose a far outside gate as it seemed like everyone was getting bunched up on the inside like in the heat. I got a great jump off the gate again and was probably 3rdish going down the long start straight and sure enough, guys bunched up on the inside and I just stayed wide and pulled out a 5th or so start. I think I was a little too nice throughout the race as a few guys got by me but I feel like I rode well. The track was really tough, the whoops were gnarly, and there was a SX triple after the whoops I only managed to double single. I think that's ultimately what cause me to lose so many positions as a few of the top guys were sending it. I was in 8th or 9th for a little while and kinda lost steam at the end there and finished 11th. 1 position outside a trophy! Darn.

Overall I had a lot of fun.

Can't thank @Mark911 enough for helping out today. He brought his luxury sprinter and helped out with mechanic duty all day. Thanks for being a great friend, Mark! (y)

I'll be putting together a vlog of the day this week, so keep an eye out for it!

Too bad you missed the top ten by one spot but that is still a great overall position to get. I did it last year and it was very tough plus this year sounds like the track was way harder.

Overall though sounds like you had a good time, next year hit me up and we can train together. I heard last minute that starwest was offering Supercross futures training on wednesdays.

Looking forward to see your video of the event.

Yeah track was pretty tough. I actually went to starwest (now State Fair MX) on Wednesday with @Mark911 and did that SX Futures practice on the pro SX track. That track is nuts but really good training. That definitely helped me leading into this weekend. I'd love to ride there again.

New tracks that have doubles (not to mention triples!) scare the crap out of me. I would rather watch Bryan's GoPro! I can't wait!

I am thinking about driving to Glendale next week to watch Round 4. No, I am not thinking about racing the Futures myself! :ROFLMAO:
