So we had an ex-Alta employees reunion last weekend, kind of like a death anniversary of sorts.

I was chatting with some of the people keeping an eye on the community and one of them mentioned something that made me both happy and sad:

There has been 0 new failure mode in the past year.

It made me happy because that means we found most major infant failures.
It made me sad because we stopped making a very good product too soon.

Thought I would share.

And now, everybody knocks on wood so I don't jynx us...

solid platform (was the tesla of bikes imo) ... thank you and the team!
put a beating on them and no issues ... just replacing tires, parts, etc that break from usage... >5k mi exr and >2k mi mxr
wish the kickstand was referenced/reused from ktm/etc
hate this:
How Tesla could rescue the US motorcycle market
... will take the market years to get up to speed. wtf brp - you listening?

My 2017 MX (S/N 0037) is solid. It's a dependable and as maintenance free as my 2014 day driver Tesla. Best bike ever! No failure modes.
Street legalized, its the ultimate urban assault vehicle.
Amazing how many neighborhood lots and wooded areas you can quietly ride on and nobody knows.

Wish I had a "reverse" mode, for the super tight situations.

Shout out and a BIG THANK YOU to all the X Alta employees you guys developed a very solid motorcycle in a short time span. I was burned out of racing Moto and Riding after 48 years the last two years on my MXR has brought the fun back in to riding. Hopefully I can get another 50 years now. ⚡️👍

I am beyond surprised we have not a single major manufacturer offer an E bike similar to Alta?? Very frustrating from us (consumers) that know the ALTA was a motorcycle just as every other one produced just with a 'different' power plant. Pros/cons can be debated...
