Hi guys,

After almost 4 months of shipment delays, I finally received my Alta MXR delivered here to Singapore. It was a super painful experience to get the battery shipped and my quest to get more Alta Redshift has also been dampen by it.

But that shipping problem had also made me realize that this community is filled with great individuals who are ever so ready to share and help! I would like to give a shoutout to those who have helped me, in one way or another, to make my Alta dream a reality! So from the bottom of my heart, Thank You! (You guys know who you are)

Anyway, back to the topic above, I do want to contribute to this community by trying to solve a big problem that we have; a shortage of replacement plastic kit (the 5 pc plastic set that is specific to our bikes). I have been sending multiple emails to companies who make plastic kits. Most of the replies are that it can be made but due to the low volume of the order, the prices will be higher than usual. So my question is, what do you guys think would be a fair price for a complete kit of 5 (less the front fender and number board)?

P.s. perhaps I can get them to incorporate the new shroud design that is posted in the other page (2020 design)

Ahhhh snap! Exciting!
Unfortunately I've never had buy a complete plastics kit and have no good estimate for you. There may be retail pricing in one of the AOF threads/resources regarding parts lists.

A complete kit usually cost about USD189 (without discount) and its usually about USD140 if they are on blowout deals.

But more importantly the question is what would people be willing to pay, because it won't cost $318. If it was available I bet people would pay up to 2X if they had to. The problem is that most of us won't buy a spare just to have, but wait until we break something, then look for a replacement.

At this point whomever offers parts has us by the balls. I would buy a set. I've been trying to locate a set, even a beat, used, ugly yellow set, with no luck.

If a mfr was willing to provide a full replacement plastic set for less than double the original, I would be willing to buy a set.

I recently bought a used 2017 Redshift MX and I'm in desperate need of plastics. I would pay retail + if I could get my hands on brand new shrouds, rear fender, and subframe housing

I emailed acerbis awhile back, they did not seem to have interest in making any. Did you guys have more luck with them??

I am definitely interested as well. I have virtually stopped riding knowing parts are scarce at best.

Acerbis USA is a dead end. If I’m not mistaken, it sounded like @Alta05 was seeing if he could make headway dealing with Acerbis home base in Europe. It sounds like it might be a long shot though unfortunately.
